The 2025 World Games are currently taking place in Chengdu,

Logo & Mascots: The emblem, crafted by designer John Fairley, draws inspiration from the panda, peony, Chinese knot, and international unity. Mascots include Shubao (a panda) and Jinzai (a golden snub-nosed monkey), raised ahead of the Games.

According to the latest standings as of August 16, 2025, the top 10 nations by medals are:

China leads decisively with 31 gold medals, followed by Germany with 17, and Ukraine with 15 Khel Now.

A more up-to-date source reports that by the end of the Games, China had increased its tally to 36 golds, securing the top spot across the board with 17 silvers and 11 bronzes (64 medals total). Germany and Ukraine held the second and third positions, respectively

  • The priority purchase window ran from 20:00 on June 27 to 19:00 on June 30, 2025 — reserved applicants had exclusive access during this period.

Ultimate Frisbee in World Games

Ultimate Frisbee at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu took place from August 12 to August 16, 2025, at the Chengdu Sport University Sancha Lake Campus. A total of 8 teams participated, including the host nation, China. The competition featured a mixed team format, combining male and female athletes on each team. The United States secured the gold medal, with Finland and Latvia winning silver and bronze, respectively.

Weight lifting Competition

Powerlifting at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu took place from August 14 to 17, 2025, at the Chengdu High-Tech Zone Sports Center. This edition featured both Classic (raw) and Equipped powerlifting competitions, marking the first time Classic powerlifting was included in the World Games.

  • Men’s Heavyweight: Ukraine’s Anatolii Novopysmennyi clinched gold with a total of 937.5 kg (362.5 kg squat, 230 kg bench press, 345 kg deadlift). 
  • Women’s Heavyweight: New Zealand’s Karlina Tongotea dominated with a total of 620 kg, securing the gold medal. T
  • Men’s Super Heavyweight: Georgia’s Temuri Samkharadze achieved a massive total of 990 kg, earning the gold medal. 
  • Women’s Super Heavyweight: Canada’s Brittany Dayle Schlater secured gold with a total of 725 kg, edging out Belgium’s Sonita Kyen Muluh, who took silver with 727.5 kg.
  • Men’s Equipped Lightweight: Japan’s Yusuke Satake lifted a total of 800 kg, earning the gold medal. 
  • Men’s Equipped Middleweight: Taiwan’s Chiang Kai-chieh secured gold with a total of 107.54 points, narrowly defeating Ukraine’s Vitalii Kolomiiets. 
  • Women’s Equipped Lightweight: Poland’s Zuzanna Kula lifted a total of 563 kg, setting a new world record and claiming the gold medal
